ܨܒܘܪ ṣbwr Indian bark
According to Maggi 2003, no. 19, the word corresponds to Pers. /sumbur/ spikenard, NP sunbul (Steingass 699); the Syr. form would be identifiable with Syr. snbwl (BB 1361, 18; 1681, 5); cf. PS 3443. Syr. ṣbwr in the passage analysed by Maggi appears as a gloss of Syr. ṣrwʾ (see s.v.) ● CommD, see Van Rompay 1986, 110.10 (ed.), 141.9 (transl.) ◆ Maggi 2003, no. 19
