Allotrope: ܐܵܩܝܼܕܪܲܘܪܲܦ prwrdyqʾ parwardiqā letters
Early (or dialectal?) MP frawartak (see § 11.3.1.1), MP frawardag [plwltk'] letter (Nyberg 77; CPD 33); MP Inscr. prwltky, Parth. Inscr. prwrtk (Paikuli; Humbach – Skjærvø 1978–1983, 3/1, 119); ManMP prwrdg; ManParth. frwrdg scroll, letter, epistle (Durkin-Meisterernst 2004, 157); Sogd. prwʾrt scroll, book; Arm. LW hrowartak (Hübschmann AG 184, no. 539); NP fravartak letter, epistle, writings (Horn 277). Syr. prwrdyqʾ may have been borrowed from an Early MP *frawardīk, as Telegdi 251, 112 suggests, but it is not excluded that the internal -y- only represents a raised pronunciation of Ir. ă (see § 11.3.6). — Talm. Aram. prwrtqʾ edict (Telegdi 251 f., 112; cf. Telegdi 234, 32); Md. prwdgʾ decree; passport (Shaked 1987, 260): Shaked compares the Md. form with Syr. prwdtqʾ, which however, according to LS 594a is another word, meaning "lavatory, bath-room". On the final voiceless velar stop in Syr. and Talm. Aram. forms see § 11.3.1.1 ● prwrtqʾ am 2, 136, 7; prwrdyqʾ Syn 19, 10 ◆ LS 594a; 610a; PS Suppl. 275
