NP ṭarxašqūq, ṭarxašqūn wild endive (Steingass 812); NP talxčakūk, talxčūk wild succory (ibid. 321). According to Telegdi's criteria on the Middle Aramaic rendering of the Iranian voiceless velar fricative /x/ (Telegdi 1935, p. 200), ṭrḥšqwq should be the older loanword, whereas the forms with -k- (← Ir. x) are later than 200 AD (see § 11.3.3).
