ܒܝܪܩܝܕܐܝ ܣܝܓ byrqydʾy syg lichen of the stone
Probably the Syr. sequence represents NP biryun-i sang, as suggested by LS; consequently we may propose to emend byrqydʾy syg to *byrywn ʾy sng. The first word represents NP biryun a ring-worm (Steingass 182), and the second corresponds to MP, NP sang rock, stone (CPD 74; Steingass 701); ManParth. ʾsng /asang/ stone (Durkin-Meisterernst 2004, 55). If the emendation is right, note that the izāfa is graphically marked (as sometimes happens elsewhere as well, in BB: see § 9.2) ● BB 737, 10 ◆ LS 95b
