ܕܽܘܠܩܳܐ dwlqʾ dulqā
Early (or dialectal?) MP *dōlak, later MP dōlag, attested in Pahlavi papyri and ostraca: cf. Gignoux 1996b, 64; Hansen 1938, 77; Weber 2005, 219 and 224; NP dōla a pitcher, ewer, a water-bucket (Steingass 546); cf. also NP davala goblet (ibid. 547). The form is a diminutive of MP dōl [dwl] bucket; astr. Aquarius (CPD 26); NP dōl id. (Steingass 546). PS Suppl. only refers to NP dōlča a leathern bucket, a measure of capacity (Steingass 546).
